The Conqueror is a 90 wooden cypress trawler built in 1973, she was built to the highest standards by Bellamy boat yard. This ocean trawler is powered by twin Cat D-343 (w/low hours) and is supplied by two newer Isuzu gensets 30 and 60 Kw. This USCG certified vessel holds a current COI for 118 passengers, and was recently hauled out on September 2008. She is provided with berthing for 49 pass & 6 crew including 6 heads and three showers. The Conqueror includes; bow & stern thruster, 1 ton Haib knuckle boom crane, fullest of electronics, and complete galley. This is a fully operational ocean going vessel used on a regular basis, and is maintained to the highest standards. This vessel contains two 2500 gal fuel tanks, and one 800 gal fresh water tank. The Jacksonville Port Authority is seeking qualified companies or individuals to purchase and remove one (1) Blackbeard Double Ended Car Passenger Ferry located at pier #8 at: Clay County Port, Inc./Reynolds Industrial Park, 997 Bulkhead Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. The Blackbeard Double Ended Car Passenger Ferry was built in 1956 in San Francisco, California. The general condition of the Blackbeard is Fair to Poor. Some steel decking requires replacement, particularly in the vicinity of the pilot houses. There is a good possibility that some of the hull plating will require replacement, if the vessel is ever dry docked and a complete hull inspection is conducted. The engines, generators, and other equipment are in operating condition; however, all four 8D marine batteries are dead and require replacement. The Blackbeard Double Ended Car Passenger Ferry is no longer useful to the Jacksonville Port Authority. |
